DOVT Canine Distemper Virus Antigen Test for Rapid CDV Screening and Precision Veterinary Treatment
Product Description:
The Canine Distemper Virus Antigen Test is a test designed to quickly detect whether a dog is infected with Canine Distemper Virus (CDV). Canine Distemper is a highly contagious viral disease with a lethality rate of more than 80%, posing a serious threat to canine life and health. Infected dogs transmit the virus through body secretions, which can lead to influenza-like symptoms including fever, runny nose, coughing, lethargy, loss of appetite, vomiting, diarrhea and other symptoms.
This product is used for in vitro qualitative screening of canine eye and nasal secretions for Canine Distemper Virus (CDV) antigen without any additional equipment. This product is used for self-testing to quickly and accurately determine whether or not a dog is carrying CDV antigen. The test is applicable to veterinary clinics, farms, animal disease prevention and control organizations, and university research institutions, providing strong support for timely diagnosis and treatment of canine distemper.
Applications:
The Canine Distemper Virus Antigen Test is characterized by easy operation, fast result reading, high sensitivity and accuracy. Results can be obtained in 8 minutes and the presence or absence of the test line directly indicates the presence or absence of CDV antigen in the sample. In addition, the product has a 24-month shelf life and is stable over a wide range of temperatures (2-30°C), ensuring the accuracy and reliability of the test.

Canine Distemper Virus Antigen Test Steps to Use:
Step 1: Sampling
Preparation: Make sure you have safety precautions such as gloves and a mask to prevent cross contamination with viruses or pathogens.
Sampling: Use a swab to collect a sample from the dog's secretions (e.g. tears, snot, etc.).
Sample collection: Collect a sufficient amount of sample strictly according to the instructions in the product manual to ensure no contamination.
Step 2: Mixing
Prepare a test tube: Remove a clean test tube and check that it is sealed and undamaged.
Add Swab: Place the sample collected in Step 1 into the test tube solution. Make the sample obtained mix well with the solution in the test tube
Step 3: Interpretation of Results
Waiting time: Place the mixed test tube in a smooth place and wait for 2 minutes according to the instructions. Do not shake or touch the test tube during the waiting period.
Dropping into the test cassette: After putting the cap on the test tube, drop three drops of solution vertically into the corresponding position of the test cassette and wait for eight minutes.
Read the results:
Positive Result: If the expected color change or a specific band appears in the test kit, the canine distemper virus antigen has been detected, i.e., the test result is positive and the dog may be infected with canine distemper virus.
Test Failed: If a specific band does not appear or the color change is abnormal, the test result is invalid.
Negative Result: If the expected positive signal does not appear in the tube, the test result is negative, i.e., no canine distemper virus antigen was detected in the test.
Precautions:
Always follow the procedure and precautions in the product manual.
When using the test kit, please pay attention to personal protection to avoid cross-contamination.
The accuracy of the test results may be affected by a variety of factors, such as sample quality, handling practices, storage conditions, and so on. Therefore, the interpretation of results should take into account clinical information and veterinary advice.
