Product Description:
What is FCV Ag?
FCV Ag, or Feline Calicivirus Antigen, is a detectable and specific substance produced by the feline calicivirus in the body of a cat after infection. Cats infected with FCV usually show respiratory symptoms such as coughing, sneezing, difficulty in breathing, etc. By testing for this antigen, it is possible to determine whether the cat is infected with FCV.
Feline Calicivirus Antigen Test (referred to as FCV Ag Test), is a test designed to detect feline cup virus (Feline Calicivirus, FCV) antigen in cat eye and nasal secretions. With high sensitivity and specificity, the kit can quickly and accurately identify whether a cat is infected with FCV, providing pet owners and veterinarians with a timely and effective diagnosis.

Support and Services:
Our medical diagnostic test kits are designed for accuracy and ease of use. We offer technical support services to assist with any questions or issues that may arise during the testing process.
Our goal is to provide our customers with the highest level of support and service to ensure successful testing outcomes.
Steps to use:
1.Extract the sample:
Gently collect a sample from your cat's eyes and nose as directed by the product instructions. Typically, these areas are commonly infected by Feline Calicivirus.
Gently scrape a small amount of cells or secretions using a sampling tool (e.g., sterile cotton swab or specialized swab).
Place the collected sample carefully into the sampling tube or container provided to avoid contamination.
2. Place the sample into a test tube:
Insert the swab into the provided tube of assay buffer and mix thoroughly to obtain an effective sample extraction solution. Then let it stand for two minutes, do not shake or touch the test tube while waiting.
3 Perform the test:
After capping the test tube, put three drops of solution vertically into the designated position on the test card and wait for 8 minutes.
4,Test the result:
After the allotted time, determine the test results based on the results interpretation chart in the picture.
❗Positive: If the result shows “C”, “T” red bands or corresponding positive markings, it means that there is Feline Calicivirus antigen in the sample and the cat may be infected with Feline Calicivirus.
❗Negative: If the result shows a “C” red band or the corresponding negative mark, it means that Feline Calicivirus antigen is not detected in the sample, but it should be noted that there may be false negatives.
❗Invalid: If the result cannot be clearly determined as positive or negative, or there are other abnormalities (e.g., no bands appear), it is considered an invalid result and the test needs to be repeated.
5. Follow-up treatment:
Consult your veterinarian for further diagnosis and treatment recommendations based on test results.
Dispose of all used samples, test tubes and waste to avoid environmental pollution or spreading of disease.
